TROPIN’ WITH THE TROPIHOLICS

Who are The Tropiholics?

The Tropiholics are a two piece duo. On guitar, Ed Baird, a well seasoned guitarist singer/songwriter with a 50+ year history of playing in bands from Northeast Ohio… notably The Bikinis, Deadringer, Underdawg, Sugardaddy Express, Binge, and a brief time with Going Coastal, just to mention a few. The other half of the duo is keyboardist/singer Joel Fahnert. Also rooted in the Northeast Ohio music scene, his resume includes bands such as Airplay, Sharky &The Fins, Underdawg, Damaged Goods, Night Moves, as well Going Coastal. Both have played in and out of bands together for nearly 35 years. Good chemistry has put them together a number of times and with The Tropiholics they showcase it! We hope you enjoy… and Trop-On!

Music to get your Good Vibes… uh… Vibin’!

What is Trop Rock? It’s hard to put a finger on the Trop Rock style, is it Rock? Country? Reggae?  Beach Music? The simple answer is yes! It is a mix of all of these… most importantly the music lends  itself to the idea of escapism. Relaxed with the idea of sitting back letting the waves splash over your feet while you drink that Tropical Rum Concoction under the shade of a palm tree. We have dialed in on this sound and bring it with tight vocal harmonies and that touch of tropical flare, just like you would hear at your favorite coastal resort. We’re not Karaoke and we don‘t track…we play the fun music that people can’t help but sing along with!  We embrace the Trop-Life and that good feeling you get when you hear Trop-Rock music.
